Sandra Harwood is a Democratic politician who served in the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 65th District from 2003 to 2010.

Harwood received a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law, and a BA from Kent State University. As an attorney she was admitted to practice in the State of Ohio in 1991 and admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 2004.
Harwood and her husband Tom live in Niles, Ohio and have a blended family of 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
After winning a primary,[1] Harwood was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2002, and reelected in 2004, 2006 and 2008. She served as Chairwoman of the Judiciary Committee, the first woman ever to hold that position.
In 2010, Harwood faced term limits and was forced out of her seat by the end of that year. She was replaced in the House by Sean O'Brien.
